This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) outlines prohibited activities, industries, and goods on The Card Marketplace. All users must comply with this policy when buying, selling, or interacting on the platform.
By using the Marketplace, you agree not to engage in any of the prohibited conduct below. Violations may result in suspension or termination of your account, removal of listings, and/or legal action.
1. Prohibited Activities You may not use the Marketplace to engage in any of the following:
Illegal Activity: Posting, buying, or selling anything that violates local, state, national, or international laws or regulations.
Fraud and Deception: Listing counterfeit cards, misrepresenting card grades, using deceptive images, or engaging in fraudulent transactions.
Infringement: Violating intellectual property rights, including unauthorized use of logos, trademarks, or copyrighted content.
Malicious Behavior: Distributing malware, phishing, or attempting to gain unauthorized access to other users’ accounts or data.
Harassment or Abuse: Using abusive, threatening, or harassing language or behavior towards other users or staff.
Manipulation: Attempting to manipulate pricing, bidding, or feedback systems.
Spam: Sending unsolicited messages, repeatedly posting the same listings, or misusing tags/keywords to manipulate visibility.
2. Prohibited Goods and Content Only authentic, graded sports cards from recognized grading companies (e.g., PSA, BGS, SGC, CSG, CGC) may be listed.
The following goods and content are strictly prohibited:
Ungraded or raw cards, unless explicitly allowed in a designated section.
Counterfeit or altered cards, including cards that have been reprinted, trimmed, or restored without disclosure.
Replicas, proxies, or custom-made cards not licensed by a professional league or organization.
Weapons, drugs, alcohol, or tobacco products.
Pornographic, obscene, or offensive content.
Stolen goods or items obtained through unauthorized means.
Promotional or non-transferable items, such as expired redemptions or digital codes (unless explicitly allowed).
3. Prohibited Industries You may not use the Marketplace to promote or conduct business in the following industries:
Counterfeit goods or services
Gambling, betting, or lottery schemes
Cryptocurrency sales or NFTs
Adult entertainment or services
High-risk financial products (e.g., binary options, unregistered securities)
Multi-level marketing (MLM) or pyramid schemes
4. Enforcement and Reporting We reserve the right to remove any content or suspend accounts that violate this AUP, with or without notice. To report a violation, please contact support@thecardmarketplace.com.
5. Policy Updates This policy may be updated from time to time. Continued use of the Marketplace constitutes acceptance of any changes.
