Ted Williams Career Home Run #484 Signed Game Used Baseball (Provenance)-Beckett

Description:

Presented is Ted Williams' career home run #484 baseball that he hit on June 11th, 1959, at Fenway Park. It was Ted's second of the season, off Tigers pitcher Ray Narleski in the bottom of the sixth inning. The ball comes fully documented from the original owner with letter detailing how he obtained the ball and later had it signed by Ted Williams in 1969 at the January New England Sportsman's & Camping Show. Original owner states: "...The ball landed directly at my feet. I grabbed the ball and several fans tried to pry it from my hands. My friend Dick Murray was sitting to my right and I shoved the ball into his hand yelling "Dick, take it!" Ball shows appropriate use with Official American League William Harridge baseball. Signature on sweet spot is beautifully placed and in 9/10 blue ink. Ted Williams finished his career hitting 521 home runs, making this one of the later home run balls from his career. Authentication paper from Beckett on his signature is also included.
